Can you get diabetes?

Yes, what you want is to get the disease on your own will, is that possible?
In my family we have heard that if you can without any use of medicines.This is how we have been to suspect that he wants the disease.He has lost a loved one who had diabetes and believes that is why.Now try to get it, I don't know how.We have talked to psychiatrists but they say that it is perfectly .... Can you tell me if you can have the disease in some way ???

Type 1 diabetes cannot be "have when you want":-/ ..... Type 2 can suffer if you have bad health habits: obesity, sedentary lifestyle but not all obese have diabetes so I think thatYou definitely can't have what you want .... anyway ...
