Josu Feijoo receives the Olympic badge of the Spanish Olympic Committee

Vitoria, Apr 29 (EFE) .- Alavés mountaineer Josu Feijoo has received the Olympic badge by the Spanish Olympic Committee in recognition of the merits achieved despite his status as a diabetic athlete.

The Olympic badge is one of the greatest distinctions granted by the IOC and aims.

As reported today by the company Roche, with which the athlete has collaborated, the delivery of the Olympic badge took place yesterday in Madrid.

Josu Feijoo, in addition to being one of the climbers of the Spanish elite, has fought from the beginning of his career to show everyone that diabetes is not at odds with each other's personal dreams.

The Vitorian mountaineer debuted with type I diabetes 21 years ago and since then he has not stopped demonstrating with his ascents that, with adequate control, diabetes is no limit.

Feijoo crowned only two months ago the top in Aconcagua (Argentina), where it put an end to its project "Seven peaks, seven continents", a struggle to get the highest peaks on the seven continents.

Alavés already had the McKinley (6,192), in North America;Elbrus (5,642), in Europe;Everest (8,848), in Asia;Mount Vinson (4,897), in Antarctica; The Kilimanjaro (5,895), in Africa;and the Carstensz pyramid (4,884), in Oceania.

Despite having reached the top, Feijoo will soon become the first astronaut with diabetes that orbite around the earth.

That someone looks at the instructions of their glucometer, to see if by chance puts the maximum height at which the glucometer works:-/

In everything else admirable, I do not understand the desire Monteañero, but admirable.
