An example of this are insulin bombs.
The training for the management of insulin bombs is made by private companies (Roche, Animas, Medtronic).
The 3 companies handle highly confidential (health) information and store the data of the patients together with the serial number of the pump in question.
In fact, I correct myself if I am wrong, when you call the customer service number they ask you about the pump serial number.
I know that this section has created some problems, and consulted the subject to some interested company ... they deny having any data of the sick (lie) and that they flee from having that data (Juas Juas).
The same could talk about glucometers ... although here they are usually more careful (Abbott is an example in this regard).
