Diabetologists in Valencia

Being veteran you know that 2 + 2 are not always 4 with diabetes, you can be for a long time with some doses and overnight your insulin needs can change and that can happen for anything.

That your insulin needs have changed and you need more insulin in principle you do not have to take it for something negative, you will have to correct those ratios and those sensitivity factors, it is annoying but it is what there is, I know someone who has insulin bomb andIt has to "recalculate" all or almost everything almost weekly.

No matter how bad that things are going to change the basal-bolus treatment to something previous (insulatard + actrapid or similar) as much could change the types of insulin (Levemir for lantus or novorapid by apidra or similar) butYou would continue with a basal insulin and another insulin to cover the food bowling (meals). In Spain this type of treatments (basal-bolus) are prescribed for a few years.

Possibly that comment that someone made you who with Lantus is enough someone who is type 2, type 1 we need at least 2 types of insulin bone that do not pay much attention to the comments.

Hi Cayko Welcome

How much did you come back to Valencia? The changes in schedules, food, the weather ... the body takes a long time to adapt to the new reality ...
In principle, as you aim, you just have to increase the doses, both Lantus and Novorapid ...

I also live in Valencia.
Faith and clinic, in my view, are the best because they have competent educating nurses ...
Type 1 diabetes should be treated mandatory by endocrine in hospitals.
As for endos, in the clinic I only recommend Dr. Ampudia ... in faith, dr.Merino or Dra.Navas ..... at the Peset Hospital, I recommend Dra.Alone
I am 100% sure that none of these doctors will modify you the basal Bolus pattern.

To access them depends on where you live, each health department is assigned a hospital and it is to him where you should go ... Then you are at ease with that doctor you can request change through the SAIP (service service patient information).

If you decided to go for private insurance, I would recommend Dr. Ampudia ... work in Germany clinics:

Type 2 diabetics are usually carried by head doctors (primary care doctors) but type 1 diabetics have to be carried out a specialist (an endocrine doctor) I bone that if you are diabetics of type 1 your head doctorI would have to send you directly to an endocrine and endocrine usually have their consultation in hospitals unless weird, what matters is that it takes you an endocrine regardless of where you have the consultation.

It seems that the only diabetics you know are of type 2, do not take the things that a type 2 diabetic tells you, there are quite a few differences both in treatment (a type 1 diabetic has insulin dependence from theFirst moment that is diagnosed and usually needs at least two types of insulin) as who carries them (a type 2 diabetic usually carries it in primary care (the header doctor) but a type 1 diabetic has to take an endocrine).

The comments that a type 2 diabetic makes you filter them a bit ... that you do not have the same type of diabetes as them ... you as type 1 diabetics will take you an endocrine and in primary care they will only prescribe insulin and youThey will give the necessary material.

Thank you very much for the answers.

I returned to Valencia half a year ago, since I have been going and coming for a long time until I managed to bring my life completely to Valencia.

I live right next to Dr. Pesset, although I would really be very interested to be able to go to Dr. Ampuria.I have seen that he is married to a German and that he has even studied in Germany, precisely in the same Uni that I was. Therefore, German will speak and I could clarify vocabulary doubts better than any other person.

You say that "Type 1 diabetes should be treated mandatory by endocrine in hospitals" - but they have sent me to the specialist that corresponds to me ambulatory, in Monteolivete.Do you mean that this specialist will send me to the hospital?Or do I have to ask for it ???.Other diabetics that I know, they only go to the header, they do not even go to the specialist and much less to the hospital.

I really are glad to have found you, to see if I clarify my doubts and I go on the right path.

It is true that they can refer you to the Monteolivete Specialties Center, there will see you an endocrine ... I think that if you explain your case, they will support you to change to Dr. Ampudia
The problem you probably have is that Dr. Ampudia has its full patient quota and cannot admit more ... I am sure it exceeds the number of patients who touch it and much more than it would be reasonable.

As already commented, as a general rule, type 2 diabetes is carried in the health centers for a general practitioner and type 1 diabetes for a specialist in endocrinology.
In the case of the peset area, many cases usually derive from the Monteolivete Specialties Center.
Maybe, if you expect a little, they can even refer you to the new La Fe hospital.

@Macor In the clinic they are quite good, Dr Calle Pascual passes consultation in the ambulatory of Modesto Lafuente. And on Tuesdays from 8 to 9 if you go there with your control notebook looks at you and tells you how you are going.I correspond to me the Jimenez Diaz and except the educators that are good, the endocrin@s are rather loose and some particularly bad, and they take a lot to give you an appointment (7 months) so from time to time I leaveLet's see him.I asked for an interconsultation and they met me, it seemed quite good in my case, because it referred to it in particular and did not start saying topics or anything like that.what I liked ...
Private there is a famous one Dr. Franco, he was in Asisa but so he only sees you people from the team.If you want to see him personally you have to pay the private consultation and a year and a half ago it was 200 euros; The one who can ...
