The Spanish Diabetics Federation (FEDE) considered Tuesday that all schools should have health professionals to serve children with health problems, whether glucose or any other.

The Fede made this consideration coinciding with the beginning of the school year, which is expected to attend at least 30,000 children under 15 years of diabetes, which are the ones that are estimated to be in Spain of this age.

In order for them to receive proper health care also in the school, the entity remembers the importance of teaching staff being aware of the problem and knowing their management, as well as parents facilitate the center of all the necessary information in writing to the center on the diabetes of diabetes ofyour children.

In addition to the collaboration of parents and teachers, the centers must have the presence of health professionals "to serve all children, not only those who have diabetes," Fede has.

Another factor that must be taken into account when taking children to school and especially those who live with diabetes is that of the menu that the school presents, because not everyone seems to be optimal, according to the Federation.

In this regard, the entity indicates that nine out of ten schools offer special menus for diabetic students, although one in three of those who do it "presents dietary deficiencies."
