The Diabetics Society of Cartagena (Sodicar) has scheduled from October 3 to 5 adult training days with diabetes aimed at teaching them to improve the control of the disease in real -life situations that alter glucose control.

The days are aimed at people between 18 and 35 years diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and are aimed at helping them control that ailment and applying the new technologies for it.

During the meeting, real life situations will be recreated that alter the control of glucose, such as the celebration of extraordinary foods, carrying out an irregular physical activity or drinking alcoholic beverages, among others.

The objective is to teach patients to prevent such situations and face them to keep glucose well controlled without giving up leisure and leading a normal life and without limitations.

Two diabetological doctors, an educator nurse in diabetes, a nutritionist and a sports educator who will respond to the doubts of the participants and propose practices and recommendations to improve their quality of life will participate in the days.

The conference will be held in Águilas and are open to both partners and non -sodar partners.

That is, until now they taught to control diabetes in imaginary life situations ... Well, that would explain enough things.

But I still think that he knows more a diabetic with a few years of experience, than any diabetologist or "educator" who has done a course on that.

En 1922 descubrieron la insulina, en 1930 la insulina lenta. ¿Que c*** han hecho desde entonces?

You are right Sherpa.

By the way, what great shit that limits the age ... to which we have debuted with 35 we have to learn alone (because the 4 theories taught by the "educator nurse" are not worth it at all).

But what would you think if the endocrine, educator and physical trainer had diabetes?

It would seem perfect to me !!!
Or simply without being diabetics that prove to make profiles every day for a week (how many would really get to all the controls without skipping any?) And put some insulin to suffer a couple of declines t another 2 testsof glucose tolerance, so that they know that it is a rush, but this while working, nothing in house. And when I spend the week they are going to review and we are angry at the bad controls they have had .... to see if then they continue to treat us the same and that we have only given them a little of the disease and only for a week, ...

I agree! There are things that are not lived or not understood as much that has been studied, it is like explaining the colors to a blind of birth !!!
