Application technique

To the group:
While the nurse who explained to me about the application of insulin told me to do so, prior pinch, at an angle of 45 degrees, later the doctor told me to do it at 90º.
Any comments about that or other issues referring to the subject and that they consider of interest in the reason of their experience?

The injection technique to be used depends on several things ... the size of the needle, the injection zone ... as many things inside diabetes cannot be given a single answer.
If you use 5 millimeter needles, do it at 90º always regardless of the area, if you use 8 millimeter (or larger) needles depends on the area and your physical complexion but in general you will have to enter a little "sideway".

It is basically what TNT has said.
My experience is that those of 5 or 6 mm (depending on commercial brands) are valid for almost everyone and clicking without pinch "in rectum".
