Hello!!!
I need help to know if the pills are affecting my 79 -year -old mother and good health in general, until she is starting to spend physically very fast.Since since it seems to be taking sugar, it has shot up to 350 before eating, climbing and going down between 250 up.We are worried about whether it could be diabetic and start a treatment according to your state.
The pills are Zaldiar and we cannot understand if they are the cause of this sudden change in blood sugar. The doctor says no but I am not so clear, I have commented on going to endocrine and says that it is not necessary to do not need toIt only has a month and a half with these increases progressively.Thank you

Hello, Olympia.

We are not doctors here, so take our opinions like that: opinions nothing more.If you do not add the doctor's explanations, change doctor.

I have been looking at that medicine on the Internet and a priori would not have to raise glycemia. In fact, I have not seen anything about increases in blood sugar, or interactions, or on side effects or precautions.

350 is a very high figure, even fasting, as if not paying attention.Your mother needs a specialist, an endocrine, who is the one who assesses her figures.

My opinion is that it possibly has a diabetes problem.I think you should not leave it and go to the specialist so you can know what to do.

Greetings and I hope I have not confused you anymore.

Thanks for your time !!And I think that is exactly what I'm going to do.Although the header is still in its thirteen that you have to give time for the treatment to work.Do you know how long that depends?Greetings and thanks again.

Hi Olimpia, welcome !!! .... time for what ????They are the cane ... As Alea says, the figures that you speak independently that they have or not to do with those pills, are very high, and what they should do to your mother is to put a treatment to control those hyperglycemia.... Of course I think the same, change of doctor and request to consult an endocrine.
Greetings, and tell us how you are doing.

He has put the header of some pills and says that you have to wait if it is corrected.Today, it seems to be a better pelin but they have told him to make a review within 15 days. These are the pills: Unidiamicron 30mg 2 to breakfast and metformin 1 at noon.
The last one has been taking 1 week and of course the sugar has been increasing, going from 200 to 350. When putting the two breakfast pills it seems that it is better of, encouragement, skin color, etc. .. on Monday ofget worse I take it to a private endocrine and voila.Greetings and thank you.

Yes, in that case we may have to wait for the medication to take effect, but I would also do what you think, if on Monday it has not improved, the endocrine would try.
Greetings.
