Last Saturday, July 6, at the Secretary of Social Development, Álvaro Barros and Juan Manuel de Rosas, the Viedmense Friends of the Diabetic Association (A.VI.A.DI) developed a workshop talk called: "Diabetes control medications", In charge of Dr. Marco Tripodi.

These talks are intended for patients, family and general public being free and free admission.

When a person is diagnosed with diabetes, medications are frequently needed for control. The type of drugs that it must take depends on the type of diabetes it has, its schedules and its other health problems.

In type 1 diabetes, the pancreas does not produce insulin.Insulin is a hormone that helps glucose to enter their cells to give them energy.Without insulin, too much glucose stays in the blood. If you have type 1 diabetes, you will have to inject into insulin.

Type 2 diabetes, which is the most common, can start when the body does not use insulin as it should. If you happen, you may have to take oral hypoglycemic (pills). In combination with healthy eating and physical activity, oral hypoglycemic agents help people with type 2 diabetes maintain glucose at adequate levels.

At present, there are several types of oral hypoglycemic and insulins available.
