The Diabetes del Uruguay Foundation performs free diabetes tests

During this day, the Diabetes del Uruguay Foundation will make anyone who wishes it for a free test to know whether or not to suffer diabetes.The purpose of the action is to raise public awareness about this disease that suffer almost 300.00 people in Uruguay.

The glycemia controls will be made by the foundation at its own headquarters on Uruguay Street 1932 Arenal Grande corner.The call is for people who have the disease (in that case the test serves as a control) and for those who have a family history or run the risk of suffering from their eating areas or lifestyle, Nicolás Núñez explained to underlined, Nicolás Núñez,of the Diabetes Foundation.

According to the Foundation, 20% of the population does not know that the disease has and 8% suffer from alterations in their glucose and that is why it is important to alert the population in general and stimulate them to perform glycemia controls.

For next Saturday, November 16, the Foundation plans to make the fourth edition of the “Diabetes Movement” with a healthy day in the quarries of Rodó Park.
