It is rare the human has no conscience until life surprises him, my case is similar to many and at the same time so peculiar, my grandmother has diabetes, my girlfriend too, and I have well declared me prediabetic, and now I take care of my diet,I leave the vicious soda and well there I go to change my life.
I admire people who, like you, do not let themselves be overcome and enjoy everything even with the disease.
