Lantus, a sterile Glargine insulin solution, does not require more than an injection per day and usually lasts about 22 hours in most people.

Some people take two injections, one in the morning and just one before going to bed.

What works well for a person in regards to the dose and the time of injection may not work for another, so be sure to discuss factors such as diet, exercise regime and blood sugar level withYour doctor so that the two can determine the best time for you to take Lantus.

Often, it is a matter of rehearsal and error to determine what time of day it works best for you.

Regardless of the time of the day you are injected with your system (always under the skin, not in a muscle or a vein), make sure it is in the same exact time every day.
