Within the 2015 Experience Day Diabetes, the organization has programmed a series of presentations of people with diabetes that one day decided to take their illness, put it in their pocket and use it as the main motivation to overcome those limits of the human body.Far from being a problem, diabetes for these iron men was an incentive.

This is the case of Antonio Ortega that will attend this year to Diabetes Experience Day from his native Tenerife with the idea of ​​showing us that there are no limits and wanting that power.Antonio Ortega belongs to the select group of iron men in our country.He debuted with diabetes in 2003 and completed his first Iron Man, that of Lanzarote, in 2010.

Antonio Ortega is a university professor of Pharmacy and father of four children, the triathlon for him is a hobby to share with friends of the Anaga Cyclist club and with his wife, champion of the Canary Islands of his age group in Olympic distance."At the beginning the disease is a mazazo and it even scares you to go to run twenty minutes, but over time you realize that you have to throw forward and life is taking you," he says satisfied putting the accent in the organizationAs a key to success.
