New 41 with diabetes 1

Hi, on April 16 I was hospitalized for salmonellosis and discovered my diabetes.Ingar with more than 500 glucose in urine and 280 and blood.I am injecting daily 30 intermediate insulin units (Humulin).At the moment I follow the same diet and physical activity but my glucose goes between 91 in the morning to 184 when bedtime and varies a lot from day to day.Is it normal or am I doing something wrong?Thank you

Glucose levels will never be moving around for example 90-110.Vary a lot.The target levels will always be lower on an empty stomach and before meals than the target levels after meals.I imagine that now you will be frequently going to an endocrine and an educator who will guide you in this new world that opens to you and that you do not know (food theme, hydrates, rations, insulin units, exercise, etc.) The best thing is that you are pointing at the analysis on the leaves that have given you and then with them you gradually adjust the insulin.Each one is a world and none are the same.
I only recommend 3 things, read, read and read a lot.You have reached the right place and surely you learn a lot here

Saraester, I also debuted late, well at 30 and I have 40 (still for a few days :)), and after 10 years I still have the changing values, since my day to day is never the same, that if working all daySitting, that if the weekend walking, or by bike, that if the nerves, that if the activity, that if one day you take your nap, that if another day I would have to get up early to prick ... especially tranquility and as they say, read, readMuch and go watching you, each person is a world.encouragement
