"The scholarships have become an essential tool to help everyone who wish to go to these camps to learn to live together in a playful way with this chronic disease that affects at least 30,000 children in Spain"said the director of the Diabetes Foundation, Beatriz Dueñas.

Likewise, the director of Diabalance, Diego Ferrández Jones, has described the scholarships as a "unique" opportunity for the little ones to attend the summer camps to learn to control diabetes for themselves.

"Since adaptation to this disease has difficult aspects, what better than doing it in a fun environment with other children who are in similar circumstances so that they can exchange experiences," Ferrández Jones has settled.
