The "Combat La Diabetes" campaign, developed by Apple Tree Communications for Novartis, a world leading health care company, has been awarded as the best PR strategy of the Iberian Peninsula in the European Sabre Awards delivered in London.

This campaign, prepared for the pharmaceutical company, had the main objective of informing and raising primary care doctors about the increase in type 2 diabetes in the population and motivating them to combat it.For this purpose, a very creative PR plan was developed in which the fight against the disease was represented as a boxing fight.

The campaign had two phases, an online first where a platform was created so that doctors could test and compete with each other and a second offline phase that culminated in an event in Madrid presented by Carlos Sobera, who also suffers from type 2 diabetes.The results were very positive, impacting more than 900 doctors throughout Spain.

Apple Tree had four European Sabre Awards nominations: PR campaigns held by the Andorrana Grandvalira skiing station, Fitbit, leading company in Connected Health and Fitness, and Novartis, world leading health care company, health care,They were selected as finalists among more than 2,000 candidates presented to the awards, from all over Europe and the Middle East.In addition, Apple Tree was nominated for the best agency of the Iberian Peninsula.
