The trail kosta overturned with the Biscay Association of Diabetes

The tenth edition of the Kosta Trail will take place on June 14 in the Biscay town of Sopela.As every year, there will be three tours to welcome all types of audiences;30 km race, 20 km mountain march and 12 km family march and various novelties to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Kosta Trail.

This evidence has solidarity purposes since its inception and throughout its trajectory it has donated part of its benefits to different causes, such as the Basque Foundation of Multiple Eugenia Eugenia Epalza and the Association of Parents with Children Sick of Cancer of Bizkaia Aspanovas.

As a novelty this year part of the proceeds will be donated to the Biscay Association of Diabetes (ASVIDIA), which has been working since 1978 to help all people with Bizkaia diabetes providing them with the necessary diabetological education to their partners through various activities such as;Thematic courses (food, kitchen, sports, relaxation, new technologies ...) numerous conferences, excursions for all audiences and camps for the little ones.

The cost of inscriptions varies depending on the modality: 30 km race, € 17 for mountain federated participants and € 22 for non -federated and in the case of marches the cost will be € 5 for the mountain march(20 km) and for the family march (12 km).Thanks to these inscriptions, the participants of the Kosta Trail will actively contribute to the association, allocating the collection to which those affected learn in a practical way the benefits and challenges of practicing sports in the daily management of the disease.

This year also the Kosta Trail will feature several runners from the Team One Diabetes Challenge and the founders of the “Spanish Association for Sports with Diabetes”, an amateur team composed exclusively of athletes with diabetes that want to demonstrate and raise awareness that"With diabetes you can also and should."

This sports association, a pioneer in this area, aims to raise awareness of the society in general of the importance of sport and create healthy lifestyle habits among the diabetic population, which will be decisive for good control of their illness.

The truth is that it has been excellent news that filled us with illusion.We have work ahead until the day of the test, but it is a great recognition for the association and its long career.They are 40 decades already helping people with Bizkaia diabetes.
