Adiva: The clinician hosts days on diabetes and their consequences

The Valladolid Diabetics Association has organized a diabetes analysis days on the occasion of the celebration, on November 14, of the World Day of this disease.Thus, the Clinical Hospital will host the next 11, 12, 13, and 14 in its auditorium this 24 day at 7:00 p.m. every day.

The opening of the same will be carried out by José María Eiros Bouza, managing director of the University Clinical Hospital of Valladolid on the 11th. On Wednesday, the diabetic cataract will be discussed, by Isabel López Galvez, ophthalmologist of the clinician;and the care of the diabetic foot, by Héctor Alonso Ferrero, diploma in podiatry and nursing.

On Thursday, the 13th, the days will open with the new technologies in the treatment of children's diabetes, by Pilar Bahillo, endocrine and pediatrician of the same hospital center and José María Vidal, lawyer, will expose the legal aspects around this disease.

Finally, on Friday 14, World Day will be held under the motto ’Diabetes: We protect our future’, with a conference on ‘Food, your great allies.Do you know them well? ’From Araceli Balsa, nutritionist and the intervention of Salvatore di Stefano, surgeon of the clinician about the risk and treatment factors of coronary heart disease will close this edition.

The Valladolid Diabetics Association (Adiva) is a non -profit and self -help organization that began working in 1978 in Valladolid to be able to meet the needs of this patient group.It has as its objectives, defending the rights of diabetics for their complete integration into society;Improve the quality of life of patients through information and different activities, playful and educational, which organizes;Protect the minor and diabetic adolescent in their stages of schooling and academic training;seek in the territorial scope of the association the most appropriate medical treatment;raise awareness of the importance of prevention and self -care to avoid its appearance and that of possible invalidating chronic complications and guide, inform and help the diabetic and their relatives in everything related to this metabolic deficiency, through personal support.
