Diabetes Days with experts from all over the country in Mendoza

This Thursday, March 26, the “VII Regional Days of Diabetes in Autumn” will be developed in our province, which are aimed at both health professionals, and to people affected by the disease.

The event will take place at the Angel Congresses and Exhibition Center Bustelo until March 28.Meanwhile, the activity aimed at the community was transferred to it 28, at 17, in the esplanade of the auditorium.

The days will have the active participation of more than 800 professionals in all branches of the health team, with local and guest speakers.

On this occasion, participants, who as always integrate the multidisciplinary team necessary to adequately address people with diabetes, can access the latest knowledge that will allow them to treat the disease with high success rates.

There are diverse themes that will be addressed in this edition of the Regional Diabetes Days.This year special emphasis will be placed on the role of the microbiota in the development of the disease.In this sense, Dr. María Marta Aranda will provide details about the latest investigations that are being carried out on these organism factors that predispose to the development of the disease.

The Chilean doctor Jorge Sapunar will also be a special guest, who will give details of his studies on the positive impact of physical activity on diabetes.

Dr. María Inés Argerích, secretary of the chapter whose of the Argentine Diabetes Society, explained that “in 2014 four new drugs emerged for the treatment of the disease, so it is very important to train health professionals in the use of thesedrugs ”.

On the other hand, various specialists will announce the latest advances in prevention, nutrition, education, diabetic foot and monitoring of the disease in order to improve the quality of life of affected people.

“The earlier the disease is detected and if possible before it is declared, the better the approach of the people and therefore these days are aimed at early care professionals, in its scope and to avoid travel spending, providing the most advanced knowledge in its place of origin, ”Argerich explained.
