The challenge of making mountaineering with diabetes

The athlete Susana Ruíz Mostazo will give this Saturday a talk-colloquium in Pontevedra about the double challenge of making mountaineering having diabetes since the age of 11.He will share his experiences climbing the Himalayas or moving through the glaciers of Greenland to transmit in what way the limits in sports in great altitudes puts themselves and not the disease.

The activity, organized by the Association of Children with Diabete de Galicia (Anedia), is scheduled for 11 am in the house DAS Campás and aims to transfer society in general and children with diabetes in particular that their illness does not implyAn impediment to fulfill your dreams and deal with the challenges that are marked.

The talk-colloquium is part of a complete program of activities that on the morning of the 11Sports of the City Council of Pontevedra in which students of the Children's and Primary schools in Pontevedra participated throughout the last weeks.

Already at noon, at the end of the intervention of Susana Ruíz, he will eat a family outdoor coexistence in the Serra da Fracra.From 13.30 hours the activities will move to the recreational area of ​​the Outeiro Navío, where a collective 'picnic' is planned in contact with the naturity.From 16.00 hours, the III Anendia Sendeirismo Route will be made, which this time has the advice of the platform Save to Fracha.The athlete with Diego Castro diabetes will guide the participants.
