School Hospital: Diabetes talks are being held for all interested

From the Hospital School of Agudos “Dr.Ramón Madariaga ”remind the population that diabetes talks are being held for patients, family and the community in general, on the first Friday of each month, at 7:30 am, in the multipurpose room of said health center.

Within this framework, the Diabetes Specialist at the School Hospital, Dr. Daniel Dionisi explained that through training they try to cover various aspects for diabetic patients and their relatives.

The talks are not only for patients from the school hospital but for all those interested in the subject regardless of the health center and the professional who attends it, ”he said.

He also stressed, it is intended that the population is informed about diabetes to prevent this disease.

Diagnosis, how pathology, treatment, the prevention of situations in which the patient does not meet the recommended lifestyle to handle this pathology, are some of the issues that are worked during the meetings are presented.

In this sense, the professional said that it is about covering the pharmacological treatment and the complications that can occur with this disease and above all stimulate a healthy lifestyle.

He also added that the issue of hydration and periodic controls with professionals who are in charge of the patient's health is always very important.

“Normally problems with dehydration are observed.At this time of the year and especially on vacation it is tried to stimulate that people do not take so much from the diet that one intends to carry out, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, ”he said.

Dr. Daniel Dionisi also mentioned the importance of feet care "for heat is more favorable the formation of fungi and injuries during physical activity."

Regarding the update of health professionals, he declared that throughout these years they always try to carry out continuous training through annual courses and talks.

In this context, the Social Assistance Manager of the School Hospital, Alberto Álvarez mentioned that the continuous updates carried out by health professionals are decisive in the quality of care of the School Hospital.

Finally Dionisi announced that they are trying to work with the Faculty of Medicine of the Catholic University of the UCAMI missions for the doctors area.
